Press release n. 6 of the 31/10/2023 13.02.53 ( download )

ecomondo.com

Rimini, 27th October 2023 . A functional and complete layout for the 26th edition of Ecomondo, the Italian Exhibition Group event dedicated to the green economy. IEG has arranged the various halls with a view to providing space for business meetings to all the supply chains taking part in the event to be held at Rimini Expo Centre from 7th to 10th November.

Ecomondo will occupy the entire exhibition area after the KEY spin-off in March this year, for a total of 28 halls and a layout subdivided into macro-clusters able to offer visitors a clear and effective overview of the contents.

The Innovation Arena, the central theme at Ecomondo, will be located under the prestigious dome in the south hall. It will host the world of industry, competence centres, research agencies and institutions committed to the ecological transition to ensure visibility to all those realities that constantly invest in research and development, contributing to progress and the economic transition towards green and sustainable models.

Halls A1-A2-A3-A4-A5-A6, B1-B2-B3-B4 and C3-C4-C5-C6 will house the Waste and Resources area, where companies operating in the valorisation of, and services for, integrated management, technologies and machinery for waste and resource treatment, equipment and vehicles for waste collection and transport, systems and containers, machinery and equipment for handling and lifting, ecodesign and new materials, repair and restoration services will be located.

The Site & Soil Restoration halls (C1, C2, D1 and part of D2) will host companies that carry out decommissioning activities for the reuse of brownfields, disused industrial areas, degraded and abandoned districts, whose rehabilitation and reuse is currently a major challenge for Europe and Italy. Companies and technologies dealing in systems and prevention solutions for hydrogeological risk and major climate risks, flooding and coastal erosion will also be found here.

Water Cycle & Blue Economy (B6, B7, D7), located in the eastern area of the Expo Centre, will deal with the topic of a sustainable use of water resources. The section is ideally organised into two sub-areas: water and blue economy. The first will host all the stages of the integrated water service and water cycle chain (from saving to monitoring, from purification to reuse in a circular perspective in the agricultural, industrial and civil sectors) and, thanks to the partnership with UTILITALIA, will encourage networking between the world of national and international utilities and technology companies. The second area will house a new exhibition project for the 2023 edition that aims to disseminate good practices and projects related to the marine and coastal economy. It will host technologies related to de-pollution and the regeneration of the hydrosphere; water desalination and the regeneration of ports, coasts and coastal activities.

Environmental Monitoring & Control, which will occupy Hall D6, will feature leading Italian and international companies operating in the field of chemical analysis. The main focus of this exhibition section will be companies involved in instrumentation, analysis and consultancy in the environmental, food and materials sectors.

The agricultural bio-economy supply chain will be found in Halls B5 and D5 (Bio Energy & Agroecology) where leading national and international companies dealing with agroecology, biomass, organic waste from agricultural and forestry matrixes will be exhibiting.

The Circular and Regenerative Bio-economy exhibition sector, housed in halls D3-D4 and in part of D2, will instead act as a point of reference for industries, companies and societies dealing with processes linked to the regenerative and bio-economies. Activities at the show will include: chemistry from renewable sources (bioproducts and bioplastics), product and process ecodesign and repair services.

Lastly, Halls A7-C7 will once again host the biennial SAL.VE exhibition for ecological vehicles, an event organised in partnership with ANFIA that showcases the entire range of industrial and special vehicles for waste collection and street sweeping. The vehicles for ecological services section will host manufacturers of equipment for urban hygiene (compactors, sweepers and equipment for suction and hydrodynamic cleaning), a prime niche in the national supply chain, while the main truck manufacturers and their most advanced all-electric solutions will benefit from a specific area for test drives.

The Start-Up&Scale-Up Area will be in the corridor between Halls D7 and B7 with 20 start-ups and scale-ups for the circular economy and renewable energy. The initiative is promoted in cooperation with ITA - Italian Trade Agency, ART-ER, an Emilia-Romagna consortium, FONDAZIONE MAI, an expression of the Confindustria System, with ANGI, the National Association of Young Innovators, as its main partner, offering opportunities for meetings between young start-ups and companies operating in the Green Economy.
